This is one of my favorite poems ever. There are tons of variations to it, but this is the way that I first heard it as a child:
One dark night in the middle of the day
Two dead boys got up to play
They stood back to back to face one another
Drew their swords and shot each other
A deaf policeman hear the noise
And ran to save the two dead boys
If you believe this tale is tall
Just ask the blind man
He saw it all
My family and I used to take turns saying it back and forth in different ways but keeping the story the same. But that way is my favorite of all :) This picture is actually from an artist that I saw on YouTube. Here is the link, you should check it out

Seasons
Seasons

April 29, 2008
One spring morning the flowers laughed in my face.
They told me I would never be as pretty as them.
The grass agreed.
I asked that sky what’s wrong with me.
It said, “Just wait my child. Your beauty will shine among the rest.”
One summer day the waves crashed down on top of me.
They told me I would never be as strong as them.
The fish agreed.
I asked the sky what’s wrong with me.
It said, “Just wait my child. Your strength will prevail among the rest.”
One autumn afternoon the wind pushed me a side.
It told me I would never be as free as he.
The leaves agreed.
I asked the sky what’s wrong with me.
It said, “Just wait my child. Your freedom will rule among the rest.”
One winter night the snow came falling down,
Gracefully landing in my hair like crystals.
I went to tell the flowers, but they were all dead and gone.
I looked up at the sky and it said, “I told you my dear, you’re beauty shines.”
I walked through a pile of sticks and I broke one.
I went to tell the waves but they were all frozen over.
I looked up at the sky and it said, “I told you my dear, your strength prevails.”
I was walking down a main road and turned off onto a side street.
I went to tell the wind but it had stopped blowing.
I looked up at the sky and it said, “I told you my dear, your freedom rules.”
I just looked up and smiled.
